JauchSchmider GmbH & Co. KG (JS), a German company that focuses on the design and production of state-of-the-art rotary indexing tables and high-speed-rotation spindles for electrical discharge machining (EDM) and multiaxis precision engineering, has appointed Advanced Productivity Solutions Ltd. (APS) as its sole agent for the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
APS, located in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, is led by David Gibbs, who previously was managing director of System 3R UK. Gibbs has a solid track record in the EDM and precision engineering marketplace.

The comprehensive JS product range includes single-, double-, and multiple-axis rotary tables with and without indexing, along with high-speed spindles. The company’s technology is suitable for machining parts ranging from ejection pins and cores for micromoulds to large aerospace components.
EDM wire-cut and sink-erosion machines fitted with a JS rotary table can produce fine-tolerance contours, holes, and shapes with precision that compares favourably with that achievable by means of turning, grinding, or milling. The advantages, for example, in micromachining medical device parts, can be significant.
