EuroMold 2008, to be held December 3–6 in Frankfurt, will bring together professionals from the areas of design, mould making and tooling, and machine tools, as well as suppliers and manufacturers offering benchmark products and technologies. Traditionally, EuroMold’s key sector is mould making and tooling. To meet the growing demand for complete solutions in this industrial sector, the organizer DEMAT GmbH is presenting the fair in part as a platform to help small and medium-sized companies find business partners and customers.

EuroMold exhibits state-of-the-art techniques for all relevant industrial sectors. Innovations in the cutting-edge fields of virtual reality and rapid prototyping, which foretell developments to come in mould making and tooling, are again presented in special-focus exhibition areas in 2008.

This year, EuroMold wil occupy about 80,000 m² of exhibition space at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre. Some 1,700 exhibitors from 45 countries and an expected 60,000-plus trade visitors from around 80 nations will populate this year’s world fair for mould making and tooling, design, and application development, whose concept “From Design to Prototyping to Series Production” represents its coverage of the entire process chain.

Many exhibitors taking part in EuroMold for the first time are active in the fields of engineering and design. This topical thrust is underscored by the presence of such returning features as the design+engineeringforum, where designers present ideas that may translate into the furniture of out daily life in the future, and the careers4engineers career platform, where would-be engineers can meet with established professionals to discuss the current and future job market. In addition, EuroMold supports the Formula Student international engineering competition for college students with a design and engineering workshop. All of these events take place in Hall 6.1 of the exhibition centre.

Approximately 60% of all exhibitors are German, but EuroMold’s international importance is growing. This is especially true among Western European countries, though exhibitors increasingly come from much further afield, including the United States and Asia.

With India as the designated Host Country, EuroMold recognizes the growing global economic importance of Asia. Indian companies will present their products and services in Hall 9.0, where TAGMA, the Tool and Gauge Manufacturers’ Association of India, is organizing a corporate stand.

The organizer DEMAT exports the successful EuroMold concept to attractive foreign markets as well. The group has arranged the upcoming Asiamold (September 24–26, 2008) in Guangzhou, China, in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt and also organizes EuroMold pavilions at the Russian RosMould fair and DieMould India.
