CNC Software Inc., the developer of Mastercam® CAD/CAM software for 2- through 5-axis milling and turning, 2- and 4-axis wire EDM, 2D and 3D design, surface, and solid modelling, artistic relief cutting, and 2D and 3D routing, has added new videos to the Multimedia section of its website (www.mastercammold.wiki). This page of the site gives customers an opportunity to explore the latest features of the Mastercam family of products via downloadable video demonstrations, narrated overviews, and documents that highlight powerful new tools.

The Mastercam X2 MR2 What’s New video suite was added to the page when Mastercam X2’s second maintenance release (MR2) was recently issued. These narrated videos explain the new functionality in Mastercam X2 MR2, including peel milling, a saw tool path, powerful machining boundaries, surface creation, and other innovations.

The Introducing Mastercam X2 video tells existing customers updating to Mastercam X2 what is new for them in that edition, and also provides a broad overview of Mastercam for the new customer. Lasting 20 minutes, the video covers the new Mastercam X interface, offers actual work-flow demonstrations of 2D and 3D design using Mastercam’s highly graphical and flexible Sketcher tools, and discusses multiaxis machining and high-speed tool paths.

The High Feed Optimization video focuses on the benefits of that feature of Mastercam, including how the function can maximize the capabilities of the user’s tooling and machine tool. In addition, the Multimedia page of www.mastercammold.wiki provides videos on the Machine and Control Definition toolkit in Mastercam, as well as customer testimonials.

CNC Software promises to update the Multimedia page continually.
