A new hot-runner temperature controller that regulates voltage to reduce or eliminate premature burn-out is new from Incoe Corp., Troy, Mich. The new Microcom hot-runner control features a patented voltage-correction technology that automatically maintains constant voltage output to the hot runner, even when line voltages fluctuate. The controller handles up to 48 zones. Features include two soft-start routines set to 5 minutes or 212 F, whichever comes first; adjustable min./max. temperature limits; continuous auto-tuning; built in load protection; auto alarm that detects wattage changes in the heater circuit; and an anti-arc feature.
