Last month, Deutsche Messe AG launched a new-look website for Hannover Messe 2008. The new site, which is more clearly structured than the one it replaces, will be continually expanded in the coming weeks. It will function as a central planning and navigation tool for visitors in the run-up to Hannover Messe, the world’s largest industrial technology show, which takes place April 21–25.
The home page of the new website offers direct access to information about the individual trade shows that make up Hannover Messe. This speeds up navigation of the site and gives visitors a quick update on all sections of the massive trade event.
Country-specific content has been added to the site since the launch. For example, Japanese users can obtain detailed information about the Japanese Partner Country presentation at Hannover Messe 2008. Visitors from France, Italy, Spain, Russia, and the USA can find out about the special travel packages available from their home countries and can inform themselves about regulations governing entry to the Federal Republic of Germany. The Web server automatically detects the user’s geographical location and activates the country-specific content accordingly.
Deutsche Messe will launch a significantly enhanced exhibitor and product search function a few weeks before Hannover Messe 2008. This will enable visitors to plan every detail of their trip to Hannover.
