A new five-axis, all-servo linear robot for large parts was unveiled at last fall’s K 2007 show by Sepro-Robotique of France, represented here by Sepro America LLC, Pittsburgh. The SR 4060 S5 is a new model in the Generation IV line, designed for presses from 1700 to 3500 tons. Standard features include payload capacity up to 121 lb, X stroke of 3500 mm, Y stroke of 1600 mm, and Z stroke of 3000 mm. A Long Demolding (LD) version extends the kick stroke to 1800 mm, while a Heavy Load (HL) model can handle payloads up to 176 lb. All three robot versions feature Sepro’s visual electronic control.
