The Hyderabad, India–based information technology services firm Infotech Enterprises has opened a new 1,500-seat development centre in Bangalore. With a built-up area of 240,000 ft² (22,320 m²), the €7-million facility will house Infotech’s engineering design services. It is the company’s fourth Indian facility, the other three being in Hyderabad.
“This new global technology development centre in Bangalore is in line with our expansion strategy to grow in locations which have the best-talented resources in areas of our focus and specialization,” says Infotech chairman and managing director BVR Mohan Reddy.
Infotech currently has more than 6,300 employees, over 700 of them in Bangalore. The company, which provides engineering design and geospatial solutions to manufacturing, aerospace, transportation, telecom, utilities, and government customers worldwide, serves Europe through offices in Stuttgart, Paris, Bristol, and London.
Reddy also said that Infotech was scouting for acquisitions in high-tech telecom and automotive verticals, looking specifically for companies with revenue above $10 million and that would be cash-accretive to the EPS.
