Provider of Pay-as-You-Go AutoForm simulation services, StampingSimulationmold.wiki, has introduced its 3D reporting tool, designed to make the interpretation and interrogation of sheet metal forming simulation results even easier The 3D technology allows all job data to be embedded within a single Adobe Acrobat PDF document, enabling users to measure, manipulate, view and extract results within a single document, providing easy distribution to those who need it, using only the standard Acrobat Reader application
3D reporting allows users to view the simulation result in the same manner as a 3D CAD file.
The user can zoom, pan, rotate, section and measure using Adobe’s latest Acrobat 3D tools.
In addition, when authority is given, the simulation results and tooling data can be exported as a 3D file for use in external applications, with a simple right click all from within the 3D PDF document.
The 3D PDF format appears no different than an ordinary PDF document to the end user, except that each 3D object can be clicked to activate the 3D controls.
Furthermore, the 3D PDF format compresses the 3D data extremely efficiently meaning 3D PDF documents are often less than 1MB and usually not larger than 2MB.
The complete simulation results can be emailed easily without concern for recipients mailbox limits.
In addition, simulation AVIs can also be embedded meaning the one document truly summarises the complete simulation project, with rich and interactive content.
Embedded AVIs can be clicked once to play or double clicked for full screen playback, without leaving the PDF viewer.
3D reporting is quoted with each new job (when a formal report is requested) and users can elect to downgrade to the former 2D reporting style if they wish.

1 – SimulateLite: Virtual Tryout – test any tool or process design before committing to costly tooling fabrication.
Virtual tryouts are used to identify and then eliminate forming problems such as splits, cracks and wrinkles, before tooling up.
