A new screen changer from Cofit International Srl in Italy (U.S. office in Palm City, Fla.) has pneumatic movement and provides less restricted flow of contaminated polymer during purging. A prototype of the redesigned AutoPurge Reclaim unit was shown at the K 2007 show in Germany last October. The redesigned Auto-Purge is available for extruders from 75 to 200 mm diam. The first units are on order for delivery to the U.S.
