State-of-the-art processing technologies, plastics processing equipment, packaging, design, a wide variety of plastics, and recycling technology will be on display at Plastpol 2008, the 12th International Fair of Plastics Processing, which takes place in Kielce, Poland, May 27–30. This is the largest trade event in Poland and Eastern Europe that is dedicated to the plastics industry.
Each year, the fast-growing Plastpol sets records for exhibitor numbers and visitor attendance. In 2007, the fair attracted almost 800 exhibitors representing 29 countries. Foreign companies made up half of the exhibitors.
The international plastics-processing fair has been honoured with the European Medal for Services, a recognition presented by the Office of European Integration and the Business Centre Club to companies whose products and services meet European quality requirements.
Plastpol is also one of the three exhibitions put on by Kielce Trade Fairs (Targi Kielce) that enjoy membership in the elite Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), which brings together the world’s best fair events. Being a member of the UFI guarantees that Plastpol is characterized by international quality, high organizational standards, and significance for the sector it serves.
In addition, Plastpol is Poland’s first trade fair to have spawned a version outside the country’s borders. For five years, Kielce Trade Fairs has been organizing Plastukraina, a copy of Plastpol in neighbouring Ukraine.
Kielce’s Plastpol features exhibits of the latest market trends and innovations, and constitutes an opportunity to acquire information and exchange experiences. It is a venue at which companies involved in all aspects of plastics processing, including specialists in plastic packaging systems, present their products and capabilities. Plastpol provides a unique occasion to see the full technological processing chain, comprising plastics grinding; selection of colour concentrates; galvanizing, painting, and metallizing; water-jet cutting; precision die-shearing; and injection moulding and extruding of final products.
Visitors and exhibitors at Plastpol 2008 can also participate in numerous conferences and seminars addressing the latest developments and trends in the plastics processing industry. During Plastpol 2007, 15 meetings of this kind were held.
