New flexible PVC compounds from Teknor Apex Co., Pawtucket, R.I., are said to emit 80% fewer volatile organic compounds than standard vinyls. The low-VOC grades are for profiles, molded items, extrusion-coated fabrics, and extruded or calendered sheet in residential and institutional furniture and furnishings. Applications include wall coverings, window treatments, office partitions, furniture trim, and baseboards.
