The acquisition of the operative business and assets of ISIS Informatics Ltd. by Kennametal was completed in late July. ISIS, located in Godalming, Surrey, UK, southwest of London, was founded in 1986 by engineering and software development professionals and, for more than two decades, has been providing manufacturing companies with practical software and application solutions.
ISIS employs five people and has agents and partners strategically placed around the world. Specialized in software for tool management in the metal-cutting industry, the company has both small and large multiuser systems in use around the world.
“This agreement is in alignment with Kennametal’s comprehensive Services Business strategy,” commented Dr. Kemal Yegenoglu, Kennametal’s president for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “Kennametal already holds 20% of the shares from ISIS. To become the major owner will allow Kennametal to take advantage of new market opportunities in an effective way,” he concluded.
Acquisitions in Kennametal’s core businesses are conducted according to a disciplined process that is part of the company’s management operating system known as the Kennametal Value Business System. This acquisition is consistent with Kennametal’s global strategy and represents its commitment to develop breakthrough technology on a continual basis in order to enhance its value proposition to its customers.
Kennametal is a leading global supplier of tooling, engineered components, and advanced materials consumed in production processes.
