Infotech Enterprises Ltd. (IEL), a technology solutions provider with global headquarters in Hyderabad, India, and Dassault Aviation, a major player in civil and military aviation, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at Dassault’s headquarters in France, by the terms of which the companies will collaborate on activities related to the Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) offset programme proposed by the Indian ministry of defense.
This programme is one of the largest and strategically most important of India’s defense initiatives.
Under the agreement, Infotech, as a technology partner to Dassault Aviation, will provide business-driven solutions involving the performance of engineering, defense-related business process, and information technology services to help Dassault satisfy offset obligations. The term of the MOU is five years, though the period can be extended by mutual agreement of the parties.
“Infotech is proud to be associated with Dassault Aviation and the Ministry of Defense for this programme,” commented B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, chairman and managing director of Infotech Enterprises. He went on to note that, with over 7 million engineering service hours spent on aerospace projects, Infotech has gained extensive aerospace knowledge. “We offer a modular service concept that allows customers and partners such as Dassault Aviation to secure the services they need, ranging from design to manufacturing,” Reddy concluded.
Added Charles Edelstenne, chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, “It is a privilege to work with Infotech Enterprises for this significant programme, which represents an important milestone for Dassault’s business in India. This MOU will go a long way in enhancing the strategic technology expertise of Dassault.”
