At the Hannover Fair (Hannover Messe) April 21–25, EOS GmbH will be exhibiting its e-Manufacturing solutions for fast, flexible, and cost-effective production from CAD data. The special RapidX show in Hall 17 of the fair complex will demonstrate how small series and single-item product batches are produced using the efficient single-step EOS technology: completely without tools and within just a few hours.
RapidX presents the entire process chain from the idea to the end product. The show reveals how partners work together, with the design study leading to the model via ergonomic tests, and then ultimately to production using e-Manufacturing.
At RapidX, EOS highlights various e-Manufacturing applications in close collaboration with Hubtex, a company specializing in the manufacture of industrial trucks and side loaders that relies on flexible production technologies such as e-Manufacturing in order to deliver one-offs, custom products, and small series within very short time frames.
Because e-Manufacturing builds one-part products that, using conventional methods, would have consisted of several components, it potentially eliminates 100% of assembly time and costs.
Increasing demands for complex components and individualized mass production, or mass customization, represent another potential future market for e-Manufacturing and are the subject of a recently published EOS survey.
RapidX at Hannover Fair will also offer guided tours conducted by experts. Tour participants will experience individual phases of the process chain through 3D glasses and will see a live demonstration of the e-Manufacturing production process.
The other RapidX partners are Autodesk, Gotha Design and Marketing, CADEXperience, ICIDO, E&H Formtechnik Entwicklung, and SolidCAM. The initiative is led by the NC Gesellschaft.
