A leading supplier of cutting tools to the worldwide mould and die making industry, Dijet Industrial Co. Ltd. of Osaka, Japan, has extended the capacity of its European distribution centre in Welwyn Garden City, north of London in England, by more than 100%. Dijet president Ayumu Ikezumi explained at the opening ceremony that the schedule for expansion of Dijet Industrial Co. Ltd. (Europe) had been accelerated by four years in order to satisfy very high demand from companies in the mould and die industry served by the European centre.
Dijet has introduced a comprehensive new range of cutting tools dedicated to enhancing quality and productivity in the industry, noted Ikezumi. Such improvements were necessary for withstanding the competition from the newly industrialized countries now active in the sector.
The 140% increase in inventory space will ensure that the well-established network of Dijet national distributors in Europe are supplied and supported in a manner that enables them to continue the success of the past 19 years into the future.
