The date has been confirmed for the second fully international sourcing venue for mould-making and tooling, design and application development in China – Asiamold. Organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co., in co-operation with DEMAT GmbH and the Hong Kong Mould & Die Council, the fair is set to take place from 24 – 26 September 2008 at the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre, China.
Following the success of last year’s event, Asiamold returns with reputable experts and manufacturers for all the procurement needs for the mould-making and die industry. Several domestic name brands have already confirmed their participation in this year’s event including Century Step Precision mold, Forson (HK) Ltd., Kong Lee, Vigor and Worldwide Industrial Machinery alongside returning exhibitors Ace Mold, AHP, Datamics, EOS, LKM Group, Phasion and many more.
China a major sourcing point specialist moulds
China is now identified as one of the leading mould-making industry markets in the world. During the first half of 2007, total sales of mould & die reached USD 154 million, an increase of 5% compared with last year. Total exports for the January to June period were valued at USD 595 million, 26% more than 2006 during the same time. In light of this potential, an increasing number of manufacturers are now sourcing moulds from Asia, indicating an increase in technology and precision in the mould-making industry in China.
Recognising this need for a one-stop convenient sourcing venue, the organisers of Asiamold will be providing the best platform for manufacturers, suppliers and designers wishing to increase brand awareness, observe global industry trends, expand business networks for potential partnerships and meet face-to-face with thousands of buyers from all over the world.
These exhibits will include mould-making & tooling, pattern-making & prototyping, rapid prototyping & rapid tooling, machine tools, CAD / CAM / simulation / virtual reality, engineering, tools, design, materials & coating, quality assurance & automation, processing and accessories.
Fringe events, forums and new zones to be added to this year’s event
Exhibitors and visitors will have the opportunity to gather knowledge at one of the many informative seminars being held during the show. Leading industry experts from a wide range of backgrounds will discuss the latest developments and an overview of the current market situation, creating an ideal environment rich with business opportunity and market intelligence.
Last year’s signature event “Auto-Mold & Die Zone” successfully attracted both global and Chinese automobile manufacturers and auto-parts suppliers into one forum for procurement of their specialist moulds, including Behr, Honda, ITW, Iwatsu, KIA, KOSTAL, Mecaplast, Toyota, Thyssen Krupp, Valeo and Visteon. The Zone will again be one of the focal points at Asiamold 2008.
In addition to several forums and fringe events, this year’s show will also launch a new product zone to better serve the needs of buyers in the mould-making industry. The Design and Engineering zone has been created for industrial designers wishing to display their latest development concepts and products, from aerospace and automotives to consumer goods and toys.
