US-based D-M-E Co., a global mould technology resource serving the plastics processing industry, has appointed Denis Poelman as managing director of European operations. Poelman took charge of D-M-E Europe C.V.B.A. earlier this year, assuming the role previously held by Alex Rosenzweig, interim chief operating officer for D-M-E Europe.

The new MD has more than 20 years of experience in operational, sales, and marketing leadership. Prior to joining D-M-E, he was managing director of Office Solutions, a Belgian management firm, where he provided counsel in the areas of business and sales development, general management, and human resources.

Poelman’s diverse experience makes him ideally suited for leading D-M-E’s European operations. His strong background in sales and market development and his mastery of the Dutch, French, German, and English languages will be instrumental in fulfilling D-M-E’s continued commitment to its European customers.

“I am confident that, under Denis’s leadership, D-M-E is poised to be the premier distributor of mould technologies in Europe,” says Dave Lawrence, president of D-M-E Global Mould Technologies. “Denis will be able to leverage his knowledge and experience to understand our customers’ business issues and challenges, and to identify ways that our people, products, and technologies can help them satisfy their moulding and mould making needs.”

Poelman will have responsibility for all activities of D-M-E Europe and will report directly to Dave Lawrence.

“I am excited to be part of the D-M-E Europe team,” Poelman says. “Over the next few months, I’m looking forward to meeting many of our customers, expanding my knowledge of the mould making industry, and exploring new opportunities and markets for D-M-E.”
