Four companies from India and Macedonia will be presented at a pavilion organized by the Centre for the Promotion of Imports (CBI) at the Motek 2008 global trade fair for automation and assembly being staged September 22–25 at the New Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre in Germany.
Fast-growing economies have a fast-growing need for factory automation. In many emerging markets, this need is met by importing components. But a few countries have developed their own industry for motion control, positioning, handling, and automation.
CBI is introducing four such companies that are ready to compete in the EU marketplace. These pioneers representing the factory automation industries of India and Macedonia will be available for consultation at Stand 6234 in Hall 6 at Motek, the CBI Pavilion. The featured firms are Gears and Gear Drives, Power Build, and Rotomag Motors and Controls from India and Metalex from Macedonia.
More than 1,000 exhibitors will display products for over 40,000 visitors at Motek. In 2008, for the first time, decision makers can meet suppliers active in the intensive export coaching programme developed by CBI.
The CBI-trained companies include manufacturers of mechanical and electrical actuators, conveyors and rollers, permanent-magnet motors, loading conveyors, metal separators, and geared motors. CBI will also present information on other component, transmission, and assembly producers who will enter the EU/EFTA marketplace in the near future.
CBI is an agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. Since 1971 it has contributed to the equitable economic development of selected developing countries and countries with economies in transition by providing services aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of companies in the field of export marketing and export management pertaining to the EU and EFTA markets. Thousands of exporters from developing countries have found their way to Europe through CBI’s extensive programmes in export management, quality, reliability, and the requirements necessary to succeed in the European marketplace.
