Yamazaki Mazak U.K. Ltd. confirmed the positive business outlook among visitors to MACH 2008 in Birmingham in April by reporting that a record number of MACH attendees came to its stand this year. Those visitors generated the highest level of inquiries for machine tools that the company has ever received at a MACH show.
“From the first day, our team at MACH was kept busy with positive interest from a steady flow of visitors to the stand,” says Tony Saunders, sales director for Yamazaki Mazak U.K. “By the end of the week we had taken some 500 machine inquiries, which will be followed up in the coming weeks.”
Saunders adds that the company has already taken firm orders valued at £1.75 million.
Mazak’s success at this show is a reflection of the strong lineup of machines available from the Worcester-based company, and also of its ability to supply machine tools suitable for a diverse range of applications and many types of end users, from the smallest subcontractor to the largest blue-chip manufacturer.
Both the availability of applications knowledge and a manufacturing base in the UK continue to be advantages for Yamazaki Mazak U.K., particularly when it comes to providing customers with the confidence that any investment they make will be locally supported.
