CS Hyde’s Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride thermoplastics resin has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, yet it is flexible and transparent.
CS Hyde claimed that its Kynar polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) thermoplastics resin is strong and tough, exhibited by its tensile properties and impact strength Compared with many thermoplastics, PVDF (Kynar) has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, said CS Hyde to manufacturingtalk, yet it is flexible and transparent
Stable under unltra-violetlight and weather conditions the resin also has the following characteristics.
* Low NBS smoke generation.
* Excellent transmittance of solar energy.
* Temperatures up to 265 deg F.
* VTM-0 UL94 Rating.
* Excellent Chemical Resistance.
Uses include filters, fuel cell seals, medical bags, diaphragms, release flms, piezoelectric films, chemical resistant tank inings.
PDVF Kynar is also a possible substitute for Tedlar.
CS Hyde stocks film from 0.003in through to 0.020in in thickness.
The material is sold by the lineal foot.
Slit rolls and die-cut parts are available.
Kydar is also available with pressure sensitive adhesive.
