Normally, after mould tooling process and the mould make assemble the mould well, we will have a T0 plastic container mould testing, to find the deficiency of the mould and modify the mould accordingly.
Following picture is about our mould sample testing, this mould is a four cavity 3 liter container mould. Normally, such mold sample testing has four parts: thickness, weight, function and surface.
The thickness inspection is testing the thickness of different part container wall, to make sure the results are similar or not. In common situation, we control the tolerance of the thickness within 5 percent of the standard thickness.
The second is testing the weight, which is closely related to production cost.
Testing the sample function is a very important process. At first, we can assemble the cap and handle to test whether they could be fitted very well. Normally, the container has water sealing function, so that we will keep the container upside-down at least one day and drop the container from a height of 1 meter to see if there is any water leak.
The last part is surface inspection. We just need to see whether there is any mark or flash on the container, if there is, we will find the reason and do some improve the mould correspondingly. For example, the following picture has some scratch on one sample, which is left by mould tooling machine, we will polish the surface again.
