One of several new multiexhibitor pavilions planned by the organizer of the NPE 2009 international plastics exposition is the New Technology Pavilion. The Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. (SPI) says that this special pavilion will spotlight exhibiting companies’ latest and most innovative advances as judged by a panel of top industry editors.
SPI is the founder and producer of the triennial NPE shows. NPE 2009 will take place June 22–26, 2009, at Chicago’s McCormick Place. The New Technology Pavilion is to be set up in the new West Building of that exhibition complex.
Companies that have already contracted for standard exhibit space at NPE 2009 are offered the opportunity to make an additional investment in a New Technology Pavilion kiosk where they can draw attention to developments that are new at the show, and that constitute genuine advances over existing technologies. The panel of editors will determine whether each submitted development qualifies for display in the pavilion.
“While visitors will discover technological advances throughout NPE 2009, the New Technology Pavilion will bring together dozens of them—truly innovative equipment and material introductions—in a single pavilion,” says Gene Sanders, SPI’s vice president of trade shows.
“For exhibitors whose product offerings qualify for inclusion,” Sanders adds, “the pavilion provides an opportunity to double their exposure with respect to the most exciting developments they have brought to the show, and to attract additional visitors to their main booth.”
The judging panel is made up of the chief editors of five broad-based plastics magazines whose publishers are headquartered in the United States. They are Rob Neilley of Injection Molding, Matthew Defosse of Modern Plastics, Roger M. Ferris of Plastics Engineering, Matthew H. Naitove of Plastics Technology, and Robert Grace of Plastics News.
Exhibitors interested in submitting a product for consideration and purchasing a kiosk in the New Technology Pavilion should telephone Iain Thomas at +1 312 673-4816 or e-mail him at iainnpe.org.
