The 6th FZD & ANSYS Short Course and Workshop, entitled “Multiphase Flow: Simulation, Experiment, and Applications,” is scheduled for June 24–26 in Dresden, Germany. The preliminary programme is available from ANSYS Germany, the co-producer with Forschungszentrum Dresden (FZD; Dresden Research Centre).
The FZD & ANSYS workshop again this year offers more than two dozen presentations given by renowned international speakers.
The co-producers deliver the short course on Tuesday, June 24, between 8:50 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., after which the participants are invited to the short course dinner at the Four Points by Sheraton Königshof Hotel in Dresden.
The workshop on June 25 consists of four sessions running from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Following the welcome, Dr. David Quéré of the École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles de la Ville de Paris (ESPCI) in Paris, France, will present an invited lecture on “Strategies for Water Repellency” to kick off the day.
A highlight of the June 26 workshop meeting, which lasts from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., is another invited guest lecture. Prof. Michael Podowski of Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute in Troy, NY, USA, will talk about “Multidimensional Modelling of Two-Phase Flow and Heat Transfer: Recent Advances and Future Challenges” to begin Thursday’s activities.
The Wednesday, June 25 meeting concludes with the conference dinner and exhibition in the evening.
Conference registration remains open.
