Hot runner molds have semi hot runner molds and full hot runner molds, and the design for semi hot runner molds and full hot runner molds is different.
Why use hot runner moulds, who don’t use hot runner molds?
1. If material is PVC,PMMA ,POM, we would not suggest customer to use hot runner molds, because the flowability of them is very bad, is suitable to use cool runner with direct gate or side gate.
2. If the material can use the hot runner system, but you want to cut the cost for moulds, we will suggest you to use 3 plate moulds, this kinds of moulds can separate the gate material automatically, and the gate location is same like hot runner pin gate.
3. If your product is colorfull, we would not suggest you to use hot runner molds, because hot runner is hard to clean up when you change another color. But we will suggest you to use banana gate or submarine gate to keep good looks on the surface of products
Hot runner molds advantages:
Saving material cost, increasing material flowability, shortening mould cycle time and beautifying the products surfaces.
