Faro, the world market leader in portable computer-aided measurement arms and laser trackers, is staging a Metrology Roadshow at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham, UK, this October 2. The event, open between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on that Thursday, will be a metrology exhibition that includes live product demonstrations.
“At the Metrology Roadshow, attendees will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of all Faro products, ranging from the Laser Scanner for fast 3D capturing of entire factories down to the Faro Gage for the most accurate measurements of small parts,” explains Graham Lincoln, regional manager for the southern market area of Faro UK. “This will enable visitors to see for themselves how accurate and easy to use our portable coordinate measuring systems are.”
Remarking on the product demonstrations that will be conducted by Faro’s account managers, Lincoln continues: “We tend to get very positive feedback whenever we do demos, as often it’s only then that people realize how much time they can actually save by using our portable systems instead of bringing the part or compound to fixed CMMs.”
Some of the Faro products that will be on show at Villa Park include the flagship FaroArm, the Laser Line Probe for quick CAD-to-part analysis or reverse engineering, the Faro Gage for the most precise measuring applications, the Faro Laser Tracker: a portable measuring system that uses laser technology to measure large parts, tooling, and machinery, and the Faro Laser Scanner for capturing 3D point-cloud data.
Snacks, coffee, and tea will be available throughout the day. There will also be an opportunity to take part in a 1 p.m. guided tour of Villa Park. Visitors will have a chance to catch some behind-the-scenes glimpses of the stadium and see where the football stars prepare for games.
