DEMAT GmbH, the fair’s organizer, is promoting two new features particularly with the 2007 EuroMold. One is the domestic mould making and tooling industry in Germany, while the other is the European future of the sector—specifically through the encouragement of young engineers to come work for tool and mould makers.
EuroMold’s enduring success can be attributed in part to its tradition of expressing the concept “From Design to Prototyping to Series Production.” This concept strives to bring together an entire range of professionals in this sector—industrial designers, product developers, processors, suppliers, and users—at a global communication platform where problems are discussed and the first step toward solutions can start to be identified. But besides serving as an opportunity for people to make new business contacts and maintain established ones, this year, in DEMAT’s vision, the networking can be in the service of advancing the German mould and tool industry, one of the chief industrial sectors driving the country’s economy.
A host-country corporate stand will show German small and medium-sized mould making businesses how they can meet the rising competitive demands of the world market through networking, building synergies among companies, and developing the capabilities of a full-line technology and service provider.
A career platform for engineers called careers4engineers, debuting this year, is designed to bring together young engineers and their potential future employers. DEMAT has arranged expert roundtables, workshops, and a venue for dispensing career advice to the next generation of mould engineers.
