Wittmann at the UK’s PDM 08 show will exhibit a Battenfeld 1600kN plastics injection moulder machine equipped with the latest B6 control system and a Wittmann Robot W711.
Following the Wittmann Group purchase of injection moulding machinery supplier, Battenfeld, in March 2008, both companies are at this week’s Plastics Design and Mould Exhibition 08, running April 15-17 at Telford International Centre in Shropshire, UK Wittmann UK’s managing director, Barry Hill, said: "PDM 08 gives us an ideal opportunity to present both our companies together – and to show UK plastics processors what benefits and synergies there are from sourcing their innovative and technology from our new ‘one stop shop’"
Battenfeld UK managing director, Mike Everett, said: "we are delighted to be able to offer the marketplace the complete solution for cost effective injection moulding.

On display at PDM is a Battenfeld 1600kN (160 tonf) machine equipped with the latest B6 control system.
Mounted on the machine is a Wittmann Robot W711, which has the Touch Screen R7 teach pendant.
Wittmann UK is also exhibiting a complete range of ancillary equipment as well its innovations in software; robotics and materials handling control systems.
* Battenfeld acquisition – the Wittmann-Group announced its takeover of Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen five weeks ago and became effective on April 1, 2008.
Wittmann now owns the worldwide Battenfeld sales subsidiaries, the German customer service company and the previously independent Service Unit.
Wittmann is a global manufacturer of a comprehensive and innovative range of peripheral devices for the plastics industry.
This range includes robots and automation equipment, automatic material supply and drying plus recycling of the plastics, and tool tempering and cooling.
In future, Battenfeld and Wittmann will calim to be the first company in the world to offer a fully integrated product range for all injection moulding production needs.
Battenfeld can look forward to a positive future and can successfully maintain and expand its customer relationships.
The Wittmann and Battenfeld companies together now employ more than 1,500 employees worldwide.
For the time being both companies will continue to offer their products and services separately on the world market.
At the takeover, Dr Werner Wittmann and Georg Tinschert of Battenfeld issued a joint statement: "The integration of both companies leads to significant advantages for our customers and we are sure to enlarge our worldwide market position".
Meantime, Barry Hill and Mike Everett invite PDM 08 visitors to visit them in Hall 3 on Stand D40.
