HT Lasertekniikka Oy has acquired the component manufacturing and welding business segment of FinnSonic Oy, a leading European provider of industrial cleaning technologies. The transaction will enable FinnSonic to shorten project delivery times.
By joining forces in manufacturing, the companies expect to see mutual benefits, such as economies of scale in materials purchases. FinnSonic personnel in component manufacturing will be employed by HT Lasertekniikka with full seniority.
“FinnSonic’s business conditions have developed favourably,” states Mikko Lindström, CEO of FinnSonic. “A positive business outlook requires modernization and development of our component manufacturing processes.”
Continues Lindström: “By outsourcing our component manufacturing to HT Lasertekniikka, we are able to serve our clients more efficiently. At the same time we can focus on developing our industrial cleanliness solutions offering and growing the business according to our strategy.”
Ilkka Nikkilä, the CEO of HT Lasertekniikka, adds that the agreement creates opportunities for development of both companies’ operations. “Our strategy is to serve customers locally, and we are aiming at sustainable business growth,” says Nikkilä.
