Inneo Solutions GmbH has joined the partner programme of INUS Technology Inc., the developer of Rapidform® 3D scanning software. Inneo, a leading provider of CAD/CAM/CAE and product data management and product life-cycle management (PDM/PLM) solutions, has 12 locations in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK, and is the number one PTC reseller worldwide.
To address increasing customer demand for reverse-engineering technologies, Inneo sought a 3D scanning software solution that complemented its portfolio of CAD and PLM products. The partnership agreement with INUS Technology followed an investigation that demonstrated that Rapidform provided the full range of necessary reverse-engineering functionality.
Wolfgang Stoll, product management director for Inneo, cited liveTransfer™ as the main motivation behind the partnership agreement. Rapidform’s liveTransfer system, uniquely, can process 3D scanner information and output parametric solid-model data in Pro/Engineer’s native file format.
“The deep integration into Pro/Engineer provides our customers with powerful functionality that increases their overall engineering performance,” explains Stoll.
Calvin J. Hur, INUS Technology’s senior vice president of marketing and global sales, is pleased that such a prominent PTC distributor has joined his company’s sales channel network. “We are delighted that Inneo views Rapidform software as an important tool in the expansion of its market and sales,” he says. “Their Pro/Engineer users can now have a powerful solution for conversion of physical objects into parametric solid models.”
Hur continues: “We are eager to aggressively expand our customer base to the general PLM market through partnerships with more PLM distributors around the globe. As a market and technology leader, INUS Technology will continue to play a pivotal role in effectively positioning 3D scanning technologies in the standard processes of product design and manufacturing.”
