Smithers Rapra Technology, an independent testing, consulting and research organisation, is opening a publications distribution and sales center in the United States to serve the polymer industry and academia.
The company has appointed Jack Bashian as publisher. Bashian has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in publishing and e-commerce and will be based at the Smithers Group head office in Akron.
The company plans to introduce a series of new titles, including, “Plastics, Rubber and Health,” the second edition of “Introduction to Plastic Recycling,” and “Thermoplastic Nanocomposites.”
Smithers Rapra, located in Shropshire, England, was acquired by the Smithers Group of Akron, in April 2006.
