2 Performance experiment of aluminum alloy material of bicycle frame
In order to judge whether the aluminum alloy material used in the design of the bicycle frame can meet the performance requirements of the bicycle, the performance of the aluminum alloy material under the different material composition is analyzed and researched by the experimental method:
2.1 Experiment preparation
Prepare materials such as Mg, Si, Cu, Cr, Mn, Ti, and control their mass fractions to prepare for the preparation and performance testing of aluminum alloys. A total of 3 aluminum alloy standards with different material mass fractions have been prepared.
2.2 Experimental process
The experiment followed the following process: (1) Prepare the materials that the alloy relies on. (2) Melt and cast the test bar and extrude the profile. (3) Test the performance of part of the profile, and the other part of the profile is used to make the frame. (4) Test the performance of the manufactured frame. (4) Combine the profile performance test with the frame performance test results to analyze whether the bicycle can meet the performance requirements of the bicycle. If it can, the bicycle is produced and its performance is further tested.
2.3 Frame preparation
Melting: (1) Prepare the smelting furnace. (2) The metal raw materials are smelted in a melting furnace. (3) The smelting time is 15-25min, followed by slag removal treatment. (4) Pour the smelted material and take it out after cooling to room temperature.
Extrusion: (1) Extrusion molding using hot extrusion method. (2) The outer diameter of the blank is controlled at 90mm, and the length is controlled at 300mm. (3) The speed of the extrusion rod is controlled at 2-3mm/s. (4) The temperature is controlled at 480℃. (5) Preheat the mold to 450°C. (6) The tonnage of the extruder is controlled at 630T.
Welding: Welding by manual tungsten argon arc welding.
Heat treatment: the material is quenched and then cooled to room temperature until a saturated solid solution is formed.
2.4 Test method
Mechanical performance test: Use aluminum alloy Webster hardness tester to test the hardness of aluminum alloy material.
Reliability test: Use horizontal force and vertical force reliability test methods to test the reliability of aluminum alloy materials.
2.4 Experimental results
(1) Under the condition that the content of Si, Cu and Mn in the alloy is increased, Si remains after the material reaction, which can effectively increase the strength of the aluminum alloy.
(2) Under the above conditions, the thickness of the aluminum alloy upper and lower beam tube walls is controlled to 1.4mm, the body weight of the manufactured mountain bike can be reduced by 1450g, and the number of breaks is significantly reduced. The frame strength and rigidity are strong and reliable. High sex.
