1. The definition of mold
1: The mold used for plastic injection molding becomes the injection molding mold, referred to as the injection mold. The injection mold can form plastic products with complex shapes and high dimensional accuracy or with clamps at one time. 2: "Seven points mold, three points process". For injection molding, molds and injection molding machines have a great impact on molded products. It can even be said that the mold plays a greater role than injection molding. 3: It is difficult to obtain excellent molded products if the mold is not fully understood during injection molding.Second, the classification of molds
There are many ways to classify injection molds. According to the type of injection molding machine used in the lock, it can be divided into injection molds for horizontal injection molding machines, injection molds for vertical injection molding machines, injection molds for angle injection molding machines, and two-color injection molds. According to the number of cavities of the mold, it can be divided into single-sided and multi-sided injection molds: According to the number of parting types, it can be divided into single-parting surface and double-parting surface or multi-parting surface injection molds. According to the form of gating system, it can be divided into ordinary casting. System and hot runner gating system injection mold: In addition, there is an overlap mold (stack mold) According to the basic structure classification, it can generally be divided into the following two categories 1: Two-plate mold (two templates, one parting mold.) 2: Three-plate template (three templates, two parting molds.) This is divided into two or three templates to classify when parting the mold. Almost all molds belong to these two types (individual four-plate molds) Injection molds are often divided into: general injection molds, two-color injection molds, hot runner molds, over-injection molds, etc.Two-plate mold (features of a parting mold): Generally, the fixed template and the movable template are separated at the parting surface. 1: Cut off the molded product and the injection port after molding, and process it (such as: side gate, straight gate) 2: The structure is simple and easy to use. 3: Suitable for products to fall automatically. (Latent gate, no need for post-processing) 4: Fewer failures and cheaper prices. Features of three-plate mold (secondary parting mold): 1: There is a template between the fixed template and the movable template, and there is a nozzle runner between this template and the fixed template. 2: Since the point nozzle can be used, there is no need to post-process the nozzle position. 3: The structure is complicated, and the molded product and the nozzle runner are required to be partitioned. 4: There are more failures than two-plate molds, and mold costs are also higher.
