  • (1) Wear and failure of the stamping die manufacturer: When the die is in service, it contacts the forming blank and produces relative movement. The phenomenon that the contact surface gradually loses material due to the relative movement of the surface is called abrasion. Wear failure can be divided into the following types:
  • (2) Fracture failure of the stamping die manufacturer: When the mold has a large crack or is separated into two parts and several parts lose service capacity, it becomes a fracture failure. Fracture can be divided into plastic fracture and brittle fracture. According to the manufacturers of stamping molds, the mold materials are mostly medium and high-strength steels, and the fracture forms are mostly brittle fractures.
The brittle fracture of the stamping die manufacturer can be divided into one-time fracture and fatigue fracture.
  • (3) Plastic deformation failure of the stamping die manufacturer: The plastic deformation of the die is the yielding process of the metal material of the die. Stamping die manufacturers emphasize that whether plastic deformation occurs, the dominant role is the mechanical load and the room temperature strength of the die. Whether a mold that has been in service at a high temperature produces plastic deformation depends mainly on the working temperature of the mold and the high-temperature strength of the mold material.
